About Our Church
"He who sat on the throne said, 'Behold, I make all things new . . . I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.'" Revelation 21:5-6
At New Life, our vision is simple, "Passion for God, Compassion for People."
First, we want to be unashamed lovers of God who seek His truth and His will. But we also want to demonstrate the character of Jesus in compassion for people. We believe that God is active in our world. He still heals broken bodies and restores broken lives. He is a God of restoration. We seek to bring the healing and freedom of Jesus Christ to our city, region and world.
Mission Statement
The mission of New Life Worship Center is to glorify Jesus Christ: His blood, His power, His cross, and His resurrection. We seek to see God's glory established in Mercer County and beyond. Our goal is restoration. We exist to reach the lost, revive lost truth, and release the body of Christ for ministry.
Reach the Lost: To evangelize the lost through the practical demonstration of the love of God; To reveal the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit through signs, wonders, and miracles, which naturally draw people to Christ; To establish and encourage believers through training and discipleship - utilizing the small group model.
Revive Lost Truth: To reaffirm the truth of divine healing through a direct emphasis on the living Christ and the establishment of a sozo (body, soul, and spirit) healing center; To emphasize the power and importance of prayer and fasting by a determined commitment and the availability of prayer and fasting facilities; To restore freedom in worship so that Christ is exalted and the Holy Spirit is welcome to invade our services.
Release for Ministry: To establish the belief that every believer, whether young or old, has a God-appointed destiny and is capable of ministering through the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit; To engage each individual in discovering his or her talents and call -- including the establishment of apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, teaching and pastoral ministries; To be a sending and support station which releases believers to bring restoration to our city, state, country and world.

Statement of BeliefsThe following 16 fundamental truths are further expounded on the Assemblies of God national website. Please see that site for scripture references and a deeper study of these truths.
We Believe:
- The Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
- There is only One true God, revealed in three persons -- the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son, Jesus was both human and divine.
- Man willingly fell to sin -- ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
- Every person can have restored fellowship with God through salvation.
- We practice two ordinances: (1) Water Baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation; (2) Holy Communion as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
- The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service.
- The initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues, as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
- Sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is, not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers become more Christlike.
- The Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe "the Church" is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
- A divinely called and scripturaly ordained ministry serves the church. The Bible teaches that each of us must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers (the Church).
- Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today and is provided for in Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross for our sins.
- The Blessed Hope is when Jesus raptures His Church prior to His second coming.
- The Millennial Reign of Christ will happen when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years.
- A final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a lake of fire.
- Jesus has prepared new heavens and a new earth for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth.
